Just as human resource managers bridge the gap between company employees and the top management, line managers are also the people that can easily be reached by human resources practitioners. Line managers tend to understand employees under them and can hence be a source of some of the information that may be required by HR. The human resource department may make some observations on employees, of which they may seek out clarifications from line managers. By coordinating with them, they are able to come up with perfect decisions that will ensure the company goes in an appropriate direction.
