Evaluate the business case for managing HR in a professional, ethical and just manner.

It is vital for HR managers to operate in a professional, just, and ethical manner. They should avoid unethical and unjust practices to preserve the company’s reputation and the customers’ loyalty, as well as ensure a welcoming environment for all employees. The cost of improper practices may be high, as the company’s reputation is associated with its revenue. It means that the more loyal the customers and employees are, the higher the profit the organisation gains from its operations.

Operating in a professional manner may mean that HR managers should use the most effective approaches in all of their functions. For instance, it is important for HR staff members not to only hire excellent candidates but also to pay attention to promising individuals, considering the impact they may have on the company’s operations in the future. In addition, to ensure that the HR department acts in a professional manner, managers should be able to maintain communication with both candidates and experienced employees. They should be able to address conflicts calmly and avoid making harsh comments or using impolite language. Moreover, HR managers should show an interest in team members, as one of their primary functions is ensuring a positive working environment for each of them. By collaborating with employees and other departments, HR staff members can operate in a professional manner and improve employees’ dedication to work and loyalty to the company.

Ethical practices are also significant for the company’s success. For instance, in the era of globalisation, it is vital to preserve diversity in the workplace and avoid potential discrimination. The reason for it is that diversity can benefit a firm through improved decision-making processes, enhanced innovations, a larger talent pool, and a wider customer base. To preserve diversity, HR managers should avoid potential bias and concentrate on building a solid talent pool within an organisation. It may not be necessary for a company to hire individuals from particular cultural backgrounds, but it is crucial to acknowledge that a firm’s staff members should come from diverse communities to ensure the benefits for the company. In addition, HR managers should ensure that none of the team members encounters difficulties due to their cultural backgrounds. For example, when an individual has a conflict with a co-worker, it is vital for the HR department to address the situation and identify potential discriminative tendencies within the team. To eliminate similar problems in the future, HR managers may implement training sessions aimed at addressing the benefits of diversity and the significance of differences among cultures.

As mentioned above, ethical practices are not only important for employee’s well-being but can also ensure financial gain for the company. On the contrary, the lack of ethical practices may result in poor outcomes for the organisation. For instance, if an employee feels that they are discriminated against in the workplace, they can file a lawsuit, which may result in significant financial losses for a firm and the decreased customers’ loyalty.

Being just is also one of the most significant aspects of HR functions that can affect the organisation positively. For instance, if a company does not treat its employees equally, it may result in their decreased dedication. As a result, team members may become less productive and participative in the organisation’s operations. In addition, being just may also mean that an organisation allows its employees to participate in its operations or discloses important information to them. This way, the company may foster trust-based relationships between the leadership personnel and the employees. This report shows that ethical, professional, and just management is crucial from both ethical and financial perspectives.
