End-of-Life Options in Battin’s “Euthanasia”

What end-of-life options do you believe we should give to people in the US, according to Battin?

Looking at the options given by Battin, what end-of-life options do you believe we should give to people in the US? Do you believe that euthanasia can be moral? Benatar et al. claim that “modern democracies aim to provide equal rights to a reasonable income, access to education for children, and adequate healthcare facilities.” How close is the US to achieving this standard? Do you agree that these qualities should be part of the definition of modern democracy? Is there something in particular that struck you as you were going through this week’s material that you would like to say something about/ discuss?
