The Market Economy does, in fact, affect programs such as “Patrimonio Hoy” due to the fact that it establishes competition in the economy. This competition leads to changes in pricing, as well as the structuring of the loans. Cawman and Fine-Skalnik (2021) state that “this activity requires competitive and comparative advantage studies in a dynamic fashion” (p. 15).
Seeing as the “Patrimonio Hoy” program is funded by a private corporation, it largely depends on said corporation’s profitability. The pricing strategies adopted by the market also can affect the program. The Command Economy could also influence the program drastically: the government would ultimately take over the program to ensure its viability independent of the corporation that created it.
The Mixed Economy, however, would provide the best environment for such a program, seeing as the government would be able to control part of the market and support the program through it.
