Do you think that most people would want to live to be 120 years of age or even older? Give three arguments in favor of living to such an age, and then give three arguments against such longevity.

Personally, I think that the majority of people would approve of living longer, especially if their quality of life is taken care of. From a positive point of view, a longer life allows the person to be with their community for longer. In addition, this also extends to the ability of a person to experience the world. A longer lifespan expands the potential for adventure and the opportunity to discover what the world has to offer.

On another note, the extension of people’s life is also beneficial to governments. If a person lives for 20 years longer, it is possible to adjust the retirement age appropriately, extracting more value from each individual. On the contrary, there are also some detriments to think about as well. Namely, the physical strain of old age, the material and emotional costs of supporting people in old age, and the strain of the public social sector that has to maintain an older population.
