First of all, it mostly depends on the type of the company. For example, if in the company the majority of employees are women and its field is connected with the stereotypical female subjects such as cosmetics, underwear, clothes, and magazines, then it is more about regularity than diversity. Otherwise, if the majority of senior executive positions in the classical man sphere are taken by women, such as engineering, then it can be an indication of gender equality in the workplace. However, it still does not guarantee equality for women in lower positions and fair pay or distribution of labor. To view the actual situation in the company, the picture should be observed as a whole from many different aspects, not only by measuring the executive positions.
