In many cases, the focus of the police force is on its citizens, while the military force is used to control the outsiders. However, the quasi-military style of organization is not convenient for the police since the military and the police officers differ in various ways. For instance, authorities focus on maintaining law and order in the country, while the military focuses primarily on national security. Military command fashion is also different from the democratic guidelines of involvement. Notably, some police organizations can also focus on developing units with equipment and technology that differ from the military’s ones. Moreover, police can ensure that they develop a different chain of command that can increase the effectiveness of policing activities. Therefore, it will be more convenient for authorities to focus on enhancing their duties while working on their own strategies than using the quasi-military style of organization.
