The dream of many freedom-chairing leaders, such as Martin Luther King Jr., is to develop a society that is color-blind and does not judge people based on their skin color. A color-blind society does not consider race an essential consideration in determining treatment accorded to a person.
It is, however, prudent to note that America is not yet a color-blind society because racial injustices are premised on racial stereotyping, prejudice, and discrimination. The protests over the assassination of George Floyd in togetherness with the existence of the movement labeled Black Lives Matter is an indication that people notice the racial difference and act towards equality.
