Discuss why micromanagement is a trap that so many leaders fall into.

Many business owners and managers micromanage their employees because they believe that process control is essential to success. If you hire competent employees and put in place effective onboarding procedures, micromanagement is redundant and counterproductive. Following the completion of the initial orientation period, the employee’s performance will be evaluated. Individuals who do not have the freedom to pursue their goals in their unique way are less likely to be engaged at their place of employment.
