Discuss unions’ resistance and recruitment of immigrants.

A range of unions started resisting the acceptance of migrant workers. Rooted in racism, the specified response affected the U.S. immigration policies. Furthermore, in a range of unions, the misconception that migrant workers could not be organized persisted. As a result, numerous unions were opposed to the recruitment of immigrants. Moreover, attempts at using migrant workers as strikebreakers were made to prove the untrustworthiness of immigrant workers to American citizens. Therefore, racist perceptions shaped the migration policies within the U.S. at the time.
