Discuss the successful dual relationship in social work.

A dual relationship is successful if there is no potential harm to the client from the professional, and they both take care to avoid situations where the client can be harmed.

According to Eketone, dual relationships must have “clear, appropriate and culturally sensitive boundaries”. A successful dual relationship implies that people in it see the lines drawn between their personal and professional relationships and understand what those lines mean.
