A therapist cannot apply the same interpersonal skills they use in daily life with their clients since they have to behave professionally with people encountered in a therapeutic relationship.
Massage therapists are healthcare specialists who have to take care of their clients and make their comfort and satisfaction a top priority. Therefore, the therapist should use specific interpersonal skills so their clients can feel wanted and respected.
