There are two major issues that mankind must prepare for in the next twenty years. These are issues concerning food security and nuclear weapons. Every year the population of the earth increases to the point that that world hunger becomes inevitable if present leaders will not prepare ahead of time.
According to experts food security can be attained if there is availability, access, and use when it comes to food sources. This means that those who are in a position to affect change must think not only of providing jobs so that people can have the ability to buy food but also to increase the capacity of farmers to efficiently use natural resources so that they can continue to produce food.
Global leaders must continually work for a planet that will be totally free from nuclear weapons. Although it is very clear that nuclear weapons will assure mutual destruction regardless of who will fire the first nuclear warhead, there seems to be no indication that the proliferation of nuclear weapons will end in the near future. The leaders of the international community need to work harder to achieve this goal.
