Did the “Crash” film meet the second Criteria of a Successful Drama Film: “Did the film portray realistic characters in realistic settings, with realistic situations of heightened life (heightened life are things that do not happen every day)?” Give three or more specific examples from the film of this criteria.

The unfortunate chain of events that happen with the characters of the movie, despite being unlikely, is believable. The depiction of conflicts inside a selected group is realistic as well, as their struggle with the outside world is easily linked with their everyday lives, which leads them to acceptance of their position. It is especially obvious in the scene where Graham Waters is being disowned by his mother for not caring about his brother, who turns out to be Peter.

Two scenes in which Jean falls from the stairs and is rescued by her housemaid, whom she previously despised, are also highly dramatic and believable simultaneously. Even the final scene, where two cars collide and angry drivers immediately turn on each other with racial slurs, is plausible, as this situation is nothing out of the ordinary in the modern world. Although they are unusual and tragic, the conflicts in this film are realistic.
