Despite such a significant drawback, the Taylorism system is still used by some companies today. One of its advantages, which makes it familiar in modern organizations, is the unification of production operations and allocating a certain amount of time for each of them. This significantly increased the productivity of an individual worker performing an operation. Moreover, increased organization, including at managerial levels, also contributed to the streamlining of the production process.
The scientific management system allows making the management of the same well-established system as any other type of activity. Another advantage of the system under study is that it significantly reduces the employee’s training period since the division of labor processes is so strong that each employee is required to know only the part of the work that they are engaged in themselves.
Any changes are more effective if employees make them on their initiative, without forcing management. According to the Taylor scientific organization of workforce principles, managers are obliged to change the corporate culture, offering better working methods and rewarding employees accordingly for their application. Thus, one of the implementation methods was the selection of a group of employees who were offered to work under the new rules for a higher fee. The rest of the staff saw that they could also improve their well-being and took an example from a highly paid group.
Taylor’s ideas were ahead of their time and are not fully implemented even now. Thus, a man who was a simple worker, thanks to his observation and tendency to systematize, created the basis for many modern trends in the development of the economy and production. On the one hand, the theory of Taylorism increases productivity in production, and on the other hand, has been subjected to significant criticism due to the suppression of the human factor.
