My research topic explores the interactions of people with each other versus interacting with their devices and identifies the differences between the two types of interactions. This research fits into the field of social psychology because it targets the influences of people and social media on one another which is the main focus of social psychology as a science (This study will give a description of the behavior observed, predict relationships between variables, explain cause and effect, and then apply what is learned. In this study the effect of social media and digital devices works both ways – it directs the owners’ behaviors, but also makes the sellers adjust and innovate.

The scenario of the research will include the observation of people in public places with and without the devices, the dynamics of interactions in the groups using and ignoring the devices, and the promotion of values centering on the devices raising brand awareness and reputation and driving the human behaviors. The research tools I will rely on in my research are observation and online sources. They will help me collect empirical and qualitative data, provide me with visual demonstrations and important variables.
