Define the Executive Order term.

This is a written, signed, and published directive from the President for managing operations of the federal government. The executive order is not legislation and therefore requires no approval from Congress and cannot be overrun. For example, Mr. Trump signed a revised version of his controversial travel ban, a directive titled “protecting the nation from foreign terrorist entry into the US.”
