Only large and financially stable companies were already using the technology in their hiring processes. However, after some months, Alana’s hardware became easily available and affordable, making it accessible to most people. Personalized services, ease of use, and quality technical support led to the ‘Slope of Enlightenment’ stage, which is Alana’s current stage in the cycle. Alana is yet to experience the ‘Plateau of Productivity’ stage. At this point, the technology will be rapidly growing and gaining wide acceptance in the mass market.
Additionally, Alana’s growth in Mexico and its impact on income inequality can be examined through the 6 Ds disruption model. The 6 Ds framework is based on six characteristics of future technologies that start with the letter ‘D.’ Alana attained the digitalization characteristic in 2017, when it was in its prerequisite years. The technology experienced ‘Deception’ in its early years of development when most Mexicans preferred earlier founded technologies. However, increased investment in Alana by companies such as Dila Capital resulted in the technology’s improved performance.
Consequently, Alana reached the demonetization stage, which is characterized by the technology becoming cheaper. Alana is at the dematerialization stage, where exponential technologies’ functionality is the most valuable component. Today, companies and job seekers from Mexico and other parts of the world can interact online and achieve results within a very short time. Alana is yet to emerge and attain the ‘Democratization’ stage characterized by rapid spread, usage increase, and rising competition from other technologies.
