In order to implement the rapid-response team (RRT) successfully, it is essential to plan the structure of communications. In the present case, communication involved providing updates on the RRT planning and progress to the executives, while the administrative management is not part of the implementation discussion. Additionally, the team communicated with nurses to discuss the problem and the RRT implementation and connected with the IT department to determine the initiative’s needs. Based on this information, the communication process is not structured properly, which might lead to gaps in knowledge. In order to remedy the issue, it is crucial to identify the relevant groups to be involved in discussions consistently, as well as plan for providing updates to the rest of the staff in the hospital. Keeping every staff member informed would help to ensure that the implementation process runs smoothly.
