TOMS’s nature of the organization relies on the One for One® model, which entails giving away one pair of shoes for every pair being purchased in order to support broader initiatives and programs aimed at health, education, and community development. The organization is considered ethical because while providing an excellent product to customers who can afford to purchase shoes, it gives away the same product to those who cannot afford it.

The ethical principle of beneficence allows determining the company as ethical because it is concerned with defending others’ rights, preventing harm, helping those in need, and rescuing those in danger.
