Tangible costs refer to costs that are both identifiable and quantifiable. An example of tangible cost is the wages paid to employees. Conversely, intangible costs are identifiable but not easily quantified or estimated. One example of intangible cost is the damage to a brand image. On the other hand, direct costs are those that can be easily connected to a specific cost object, such as a project or product. An example is the costs of direct materials and labor. However, indirect costs refer to costs that encompass costs that are not directly related to the development of a product or service. An example of indirect costs is utilities.
