A code of ethics is broad such that it gives members or employees a general idea of what types of decisions and behaviors are encouraged and acceptable in an organization. On the other hand, the code of conduct is more focused such that it defines how members or employees are supposed to act when a particular situation arises. On the contrary, the practice principle complements occupational and safety regulations and laws to provide detailed practical guidance on complying with legal requirements. Although these three professional codes are significantly different, they all ensure an employee or member abides to set rules and regulations.
