Each of the three paintings is an example of three different styles. The middle picture is absurd; the person looks cartoonish, with hypertrophied facial features.

The right one is hyper-realistic, almost like a photograph. The left is somewhat of a balance of previous styles, and it uses both realistic and unusual elements to depict Van Gogh. The young man in the picture on the right is an art college student. He is very handsome and was chosen as a model for the painting practice, most of the students drawing him are girls, and because of this, he blushed.
