God forbid His people from eating unclean animals because they used to eat foods that were harmful to humans. He allowed them to consume only the ones that had split hooves and chewed cud because they depended on vegetation for their survival.
Those creatures which were prohibited survive on meat from other beings and can be unhealthy to people causing complications, illnesses, and deaths in the end.
