As the restoration efforts of the St. Louis River go on, the community needs education since it forms the immediate group affected by the river and the beneficiaries of any benefits that will accrue from the same. In educating the community, an array of strategies or methods can be used in creating awareness of them. The use of the local leaders and the environmentalist who can hold seminars and meetings with the community and educate them on the importance of conserving the river proves the easiest way. The leaders should also tell the community the benefits the river will accrue to them in order for the community to see the essence of getting involved and being committed to the restoration efforts. Media and other groups like environmentalists can also be used in educating the community about the importance of the initiative.
