If I were to survey employees about the importance of pay in making job decisions, I think most of them would understate its value. The healthcare industry is rarely associated with earning money, and most people decide to work in this sphere because they possess specific personal values. Therefore, money is rarely a primary factor that directly correlates with a healthcare worker’s job satisfaction.
As a supervisor, if you asked or surveyed your employees about the importance of pay as a factor in making job decisions, do you think employees would over-state or understate its value to them?
