  2. The target audience of the articles and video is mainly schoolchildren and young people who should learn as much information as possible about this problem in order to start thinking about how to solve it.
  3. The authors aim to raise people’s awareness and contribute to the issue’s elimination.
  4. The researchers believe that the seriousness of this topic is difficult to be overestimated. The problem will require enormous efforts and amounts of money, but it is vital that humans start paying increased attention to this disastrous issue.   7. I would also mention some ways for ordinary people to take part in the ocean cleanup. Certainly, not everyone is able to do that physically, but if most humans donate small amounts of money, it will be much easier to clean the Pacific Ocean. Further, I would include the statistics about how much plastic is used by one person per day on average. People need to know for sure how much larger the Great Pacific Garbage Patch will become in a year, five, or ten years if we do not reduce our disposable plastics use.
